About US AGAINST ATHERO
US AGAINST ATHERO® is a multipart campaign sponsored by AstraZeneca to increase
awareness of atherosclerosis. Our hope is that patients will partner with health
care professionals to foster a better dialogue that can lead to better patient
understanding and improved follow-through, which, ultimately, can help patients
lower their risk for atherosclerosis or related conditions such as heart attacks
and strokes. Our campaign seeks to educate patients about athero with information
online, on the airwaves, through the mail, in doctor's offices, and even in the
patients' own neighborhoods. Some of the major components patients can experience
through the US AGAINST ATHERO campaign include the following.
The Web site for US AGAINST ATHERO provides patients with statistics about atherosclerosis, information about
risk factors, tips for eating a healthy diet and getting exercise, and a list of online resources for patients.

Also on Athero.com, patients can sign up for the Athero IQ Program, an ongoing educational
series with information about treatment options, questions for patients to ask health care
professionals, diet and exercise tips, and information about important health factors.
