Athero Pledge and Action Plan

By making a pledge to start living a healthy lifestyle, you can do more than help slow the progression of atherosclerosis. You can take steps to improve many aspects of your overall health. Of course, you’ll have to make a few sacrifices. But making a commitment to living a healthy lifestyle doesn’t necessarily mean changing your life around entirely. Even the smallest changes can make a difference.

It all starts by managing the risk factors that are in your control. The Athero Pledge lets you and your doctor select a personalized action plan that can include

  • Eating healthy
  • Physical activity
  • Quitting smoking
  • Losing weight
  • Managing blood pressure
  • Monitoring blood sugar (only for people with diabetes)
  • Taking medication

Download the Athero Pledge below, take it to your next doctor appointment, and work with your doctor to create a plan that fits your lifestyle. For additional support, show the Athero Pledge to your family or friends. Their encouragement can help you along the way.
